The original dry convenience risottos. Known across Italy these risottos contain locally grown Arborio rice mixed with dried flavour ingredients. Products are free from additives or preservatives and are certified gluten free. Available in a variety of flavours, the fifteen minute cooking time allows the more adventurous cook to try adding ingredients to make a unique risotto of their choice (see recipes).
The moisture level in these packs is carefully monitored. Some clumping of the dry ingredients may occur. This is not a sign of defect, far from it. It is a sign Riso Scotti do not add unnecessary drying or caking agents; just massage the clumps out before opening the pack and the wonderful flavour and texture of these delicious products will remain unaffected.
Pour 600ml of water into a saucepan and bring to the boil.
Empty the contents of the bag into the boiling water and cook for 15 minutes on a medium heat without cover. Stir occasionally, until all water is completely absorbed. (Add a little more water and cook a minute or two longer if too al dente.)
For a final touch, add butter and parmesan cheese, as you like.
